“Daddy”

Kenny and I were talking about how bittersweet this video is to watch now.

“Daddy” – Lennon’s first and last word. Exactly 2 years ago, on January 28th, 2018, he said “Daddy” to Kenny several times and by January 29th it was gone. Less than 2 months later we started working with Early Intervention, being paired with Instructional Aids, Developmental Specialists, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. And now Lennon has 30 hours of therapy each week.

Maybe someday we’ll have conversations with this little guy. Maybe.

Regardless, I still love this video – that little voice makes my heart happy ❤️

And for people that are even thinking about writing something like “he will talk someday” or “he’ll talk when he’s ready” or “once he starts talking all you’ll want is for some peace and quiet” or something along those lines. I would ask you to please not. Most people don’t know what parenting a child like Lennon is like and these statements are more hurtful than anything.
